Building Project Update

An update about our latest site improvement work

Fencing

During the half-term holiday, our perimeter fence has now been installed around the front entrance to the building on Conybere Street. When arriving to the building via Conybere Street there are gates at the starting points of both pathways which lead to the main entrance of the building.

These new gates will shortly become automated and controlled by electro-magnetic locks and this will change how both pupils, parents and other visitors will access the building and these changes will be explained in the weeks ahead. For now though, the main gate (on the lower end of Conybere Street) will be open throughout the school day.

This is also though an opportunity to remember the importance of punctuality. The school day begins at 8.10am and pupils must be in school (though the gates) by 8.20am at the latest.

Further work will follow to improve the look and feel of the front of the school, including improved lighting, signage and landscaping.

This work at the front of the school, alongside the work completed to date on the playground and the toilets are part of a wider effort to make our building a safer and a more comfortable place for both adults and children, and these efforts will continue in the months and years ahead.
